Update 04.06.13: The King County Sheriff’s Department is now reporting that 26 year old Linley A. Valdez was arrest on Friday evening at 7pm by the King County Sheriff’s Gang Unit. A warrant was issued for Valerez’s arrest Thursday afternoon for his alleged shooting of an 18 year old man at the Cedar Court Apartments near Highline High School Thursday evening.
Police have yet to release the details or location of the arrest. The victim in Thursday’s shooting is expected to make a full recovery.

Update 03.19.15 – 10:30pm: A vehicle that had been reported stolen early Tuesday evening was found by Burien Police on SW 144th St near the former Burien Community Center, The Annex.
Police searched the surrounding neighborhood with a K-9 unit but determined that the suspect was no longer in the area.
Original Publication 03.19.15 – 10pm: According to witnesses on the scene, Burien Police are currently searching for a man wanted in connection to a vehicle theft near Dottie Harper Park in Burien.
Police arrive on the scene some time around 9:45pm on Tuesday night. They are currently patrolling the neighborhood with a K-9 unit.
Be adviser to make sure your home is secure if you live in the surrounding neighborhoods. Police have yet to make an official statement.

Update at 2:20am, November 28, 2012: Burien Police are currently searching for a man they believe ditched a stolen car and fled on foot in Burien’s Chelsea Park neighborhood.
The search is primarily focused on the area between SW 144th St and SW 136th St and Ambaum Blvd and 4th Ave SW. A number of streets in the area are being monitored by Burien Police, King County Sheriffs, and SeaTac Police as well as a helicopter which has been circling the area since 1am.
The suspect is described as a white male wearing a beanie and dark clothing. Police request that residents remain in their homes with the doors locked. If you see someone in your yard or any other suspicious activity, call “911″ or the Burien Police at: 206.296.3311
Publication at 1:30am, November 28, 2012: Breaking News: Burien Police are currently searching for a man who ditched a stollen car and is fleeing on foot in the Chelsea Park neighborhood between 4th Ave SW and 8th Ave SW and SW 136th and SW 144th. According to Burien Police, a man was trapped in a Burien park bathroom and stabbed multiple times around 6pm tonight.
The stabbing took place in Jacob Ambaum Park located in the SW 12600 block on Ambaum Boulevard Park.
According to King County Sheriff’s Sargent Cindi West, the stabbing took place after the victim, a 57 year old Burien man, entered the bathroom and was followed by the suspect. The suspect was then said to demand the victim’s cell phone. When the victim refused to give up his cellphone, the suspect stabbed the the victim multiple times in the neck, head, and ear. (more…)
During the regularly scheduled meeting tonight, March 19th, the Burien City Council decided that they may vote on whether or not to put the annexation of Unincorporated King County on the August primary ballot at their meeting on April 2nd. (more…)
Update: According to the King County Sheriffs Department, the third suspect from Tuesday night’s attempted armed robbery turned shootout has been arrested. The details of the arrest have yet to be made public but they were able to tell us that the suspect is a 19-year-old male who resides in South Park. (more…)

Around 1pm today, the Social Security Office on sw 156th in Burien was evacuated after the discovery what looked to be a bomb in the west parking lot. As of 3pm, Homeland Security has removed the device. (more…)
