On Friday, June 24, 2011, 69-year-old Leonard A. Werner was found by his niece who came to check on him. Werner’s family became concerned after they had not heard from him for several weeks. When she arrived she says that she found both of his vehicles missing, Werner, deceased with a blanket covering him, and the entire house ransacked.

Investigators believe that looters covered Werner’s body with a blanket to avoid seeing him as they raided his house. Police have now recovered the valuables taken from the house from Werner’s next-door neighbor and are investigating the details surrounding burglary.

The two missing vehicles, a blue 2002 Doge Ram (
License Plate #: B40611K) , and a gold 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser (License Plate #: 515TPM), have yet to be located. If you have any information about their whereabouts, please call the King County Sheriff’s department at 206.296.3311 or 911.
