Parks and Rec Park Survey

So far in 2011, the City of Burien has been pushing to get Burien residents’ opinions about what they want for the future of this community. They have hosted Vision for Burien meetings in various Burien neighborhoods as well as posting an online survey.

Burien Parks and Recreation recently posted a short survey asking the question:
“What should recreation and parks in Burien look like in the future?” The survey gives residents the opportunity to voice their opinions about how the city should or shouldn’t spend our tax dollars. This survey will be closing on May 11, 2011, which only leaves people a few days to take it.

The simple fact is that if we don’t take opportunities like this to express our opinions to the city, we have no right to complain when the city goes and does something else. Maybe you think that Burien needs a dog park or maybe you think Lake Burien should be opened to the public...
