Here is the original post about Burien’s 4th of July parade:

Well surprise, surprise - This year’s Independence Day Parade will be held on the 4th of July! This year’s parade, which is presented by the Southwest King County Chamber of Commerce, is especially significant because it is Burien’s 90th Independence Day Parade. That’s pretty good for a city that is less than 20 years old.

Burien’s annual Independence Day parade has a reputation in the region for being an event abundant with community pride as well as a spirit of celebration. Festivities start at 3pm at the corner of Ambaum Boulevard and SW 149th St. The parade then heads south down Ambaum, east on SW 153rd St, north of 4th Ave SW, and then west on SW 152nd St.

The parade is sponsored by a number of local businesses, social benefit organizations, and citizens. There will be a ton of residents in attendance as well as the creepy Segway-riding Ronald McDonald, so make sure to get there early and don’t forget to try to meet some new people.
