The annexation area includesWhite Center, Top Hat, Beverly Park, Glendale, and portions of Boulevard Park, Riverton Heights and Shorewood. In 2010 the City of Burien annexed the southern portion of North Highline, which included the Boulevard Park and Shorewood neighborhoods, after residents there voted in favor of joining the City.
