According to Burien Police, a man was trapped in a Burien park bathroom and stabbed multiple times around 6pm tonight.
The stabbing took place in Jacob Ambaum Park located in the SW 12600 block on Ambaum Boulevard Park.
According to King County Sheriff’s Sargent Cindi West, the stabbing took place after the victim, a 57 year old Burien man, entered the bathroom and was followed by the suspect. The suspect was then said to demand the victim’s cell phone. When the victim refused to give up his cellphone, the suspect stabbed the the victim multiple times in the neck, head, and ear.
The suspect, who fled the scene with the weapon, is hispanic and in his thirties, carrying a blue backpack. According to West he is likely to be covered in the victim’s blood.
The stabbing victim was rushed to Harborview Medical Center and is expected to survive. Those with any information about the crime are asked to call “911″ or the Burien Police at 206.296.3311.
